The story
Lincoln Bakery has been on Lincoln Avenue in Bellevue since 1945, when Andrew and Stephanie Slezak bought the bakery that was there and gave it a new name. Their son in law, Joe Porco, took over in 1990.
The bakery's family recipes became part of Bellevue life. Its cakes showed up at holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, baptisms, graduations and weddings, and generations of North Hills families grew up on them.
In 2024, after nearly 80 years, Joe sold the bakery to Joe Cugliari, the owner of Prantl's. To keep things the way people love them, Joe Porco stayed on, baking every day with the same family recipes.
