Pittsburgh classic
The story
Fiori Moscatiello was born in Naples and came to the United States in 1972. In 1979 he opened Fiori's at 103 Capital Avenue in Brookline, just off the Beechview line.
Fiori will tell you it's the sauce that makes the pizza, and his is sweeter and smoother than most. Order a slice and a Turner's iced tea and you've got the Brookline classic people call a cut 'n' tea. His slogan is "We fix you up," and he means it.
His kids Fabrizio, Luciano and Melinda grew up in the business, and the family opened a second Fiori's in Peters Township in 2011. Ask any South Hills native for the best slice in town and you'll hear this name a lot.
